How To Become A Firefighter

To become a firefighter, you have to eat healthy stuff, get lots of rest and get lots of exercise to be strong.
.
Things that are healthy to eat are oranges, apples, grapes, strawberries and bananas. We should not eat foods with lots of sugar or fat in them. Eating lots of grains will give us energy.
.
We need to be strong and healthy to be a firefighter so we can lift people up over our shoulders and carry them down ladders or pull them out of a burning building.

It Hurts Like The Dickins!

This hurts really bad. I scratched it on the cement and it took a whole chunk out. It hurt as much as if a beaver bit your finger.

I howled.

I had to get big bandaids put on. I didn't go to the doctor, but I had medicine. It hurt.

Bluebell

This is our new cat, Bluebell. She is very friendly. She does not bite. She does not scratch. She follows me around.

This is Bluebell's cat house. It took a long time for me to build it. It probably took 20 nails. Not all of it is nailed, though. It has lots of room for kittens and two cats. Bluebell hasn't seen it yet because we have to keep her in the garage until she gets used to her new home with us.
.
Zane likes to pull Bluebell's hair. He loves things that move. He is very interested in animals.

Fire Trucks and Fall Fair Stuff and Parade Stuff

On Saturday there was a parade. I decorated my bike and then I rode in the parade. My brother, Kobe, did too.

At the town hall, where the fall fair was going on, there was a fire crew. I got to spray the water on the road through a hole in a pallet. I had to move an air tank and crawl through a pipe. I had to drag a hose closer to the fire truck and then I had to spray water through the hole in the pallet. Then I had to bring a doll and drag it back to safety. It was a fun obstacle course!

I put some projects in the fall fair. I put 16 thing in. I liked doing the lego. I got a a ribbon for each project. I got the most points for my age group so I got a big ribbon, some jelly beans and $20. It was very exciting!

Shooting Elastics

I have a wooden board about the size of a ruler. I have a long elastic that I stretch over the top. Then I slide my finger up all the way to the top and the elastic zips off and shoots whatever I aim for.

Kobe is using a book with a hard cover and he slips an elastic on the top and puts his finger up and off it goes. He can't aim.

Mom makes us go in separate rooms so that we don't take each others' eye out.

I'm going to see if mom has any sunglasses so that we can have a shooting war without shooting anybody's eye out.

This is a pond that is near our home. It is by a mountain. Those sticks are a beaver dam.

I find that beavers are very interesting. We read a book about a beaver once. It was called The Adventures of Jerry Muskrat and the beaver in it was called cousin Paddy Beaver.

But I have my own story to tell...

Once upon a time there was a beaver called cousin Paddy Beaver. The beaver's cousin was Jerry Muskrat. The beaver was making a dam when his cousin came along to help. The beaver built the dam about 10 feet high, which was touching the top of a bridge. The beaver dam was being built under a bridge. While they were making the dam, somebody was having a picnic at a beach at a river. The river floated into the creek that the dam was on.

The beaver and the muskrat were very tired. They went to bed.

Now it's morning. The muskrat and the beaver went down to the dam and ate sandwiches for breakfast. The sandwiches from the picnic had fallen into the water. The sandwiches had gotten stuck in the dam. The beaver pulled the sandwiches out for breakfast.

The people from the picnic came to look for the sandwiches and they were all eaten up.

The end.

The same day we saw the dam, we had brought a quad in the back of our truck. We unloaded it out of our truck and drove it through this river that I'm throwing a rock into. Up the river there was a corner and that's where we crossed with the quad. It was very fun. I liked it.
